چکیده
Control algorithms are the most crucial aspects in effective control of civil structures exposed to earthquake forces. Recently, adaptive intelligent evolving be a viable substitute strategy for conventional model-based algorithms. One recent developments, known as Brain Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller (BELBIC), has caught attention scientists model-free system. It possesses appealing capabilities dealing with nonlinearities and uncertainties frameworks. The modern semi-actively controlled have highly uncertain nonlinear nature following severe disturbances. As result, these require real-time (online) robust actions towards changing conditions, which controllers rigid settings cannot adapt. This study intends overcome this issue two ways: an online self-tuning brain emotional learning-based controller (ST-BELBIC) is formulated. Then its improving performance cascaded attenuating seismic vibrations three-story scaled building structure validated. In case, central unit BELBIC based on sensory inputs (SI) cues (reward) signals. main contribution proposed self-attuned version standard that uses benefits first-order Sugano fuzzy inference system (FIS) adapt parameters online. methodology can promising terms tuning, simplicity configuration, ease applicability, less operational time, neutralizing nonlinearities. simulation affirms compared LQR Fuzzy tuned PID (FT-PID) shows superior regarding responses also improve FT-PID controller.

Active vibration control of smart building frames by feedback controllers
In this paper the active vibration control of a four-story shear frame instrumented with piezoelectric actuators is presented. The piezoelectric actuators are hosted on the columns in two manners and the produced controlling forces by actuators are considered in the equation of motion. The smart structure modeling and control design is carried out using MATLAB software in state space form. Subs...
متن کاملEmotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller for MIMO Peripheral Milling Process
During the milling process, one of the most important factors in reducing tool life expectancy and quality of workpiece is the chattering phenomenon due to self-excitation. The milling process is considered as a MIMO strongly coupled nonlinear plant with time delay terms in cutting forces. We stabilize the plant using two independent Emotional Learning-based Intelligent Controller (ELIC) in par...

The model of emotional masks is a newly developed AI paradigm based on Minsky’s model of emotional mind in his recent book “The emotion machine”. The model takes a resource management approach toward modeling the mind and views different processes of mind as resources that need to be managed. In the present work an intelligent controller (SCELIC) is developed based on the model of emotional mas...
متن کاملIntroducing Belbic: Brain Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller
Modeling emotions has attracted much attention in recent years, both in cognitive psychology and design of artificial systems. Far from being a negative factor in decision making, emotions have shown to be a strong faculty for making fast satisficing decisions. In this paper, we have adapted a computational model based on the limbic system in the mammalian brain for control engineering applicat...
متن کاملThe effect of semi-active controller in Sirri jacket seismic vibration control
The Sirri jacket offshore platform was designed and installed in Persian gulf of Iran in 1975 and has been in service since that time. The importance of offshore structure's stability and the failure of this kind of structure during an earthquake in different active zones revealed that earthquake loading has to be considered. In this paper, Magnetorheological (MR) fluid dampers have been propos...
